Appeal for photographs of volunteers

PHOTOGRAPHS of volunteers at work in Thornbury are wanted for a national campaign.
Thornbury Volunteer Centre is supporting National Volunteers Week from June 1 to 7 with a photo competition open to all ages.
Centre staff want entries for three categories; six to 11-year-olds, 12 to 18-year-olds and adults and winners will receive cash prizes.
A centre spokesman said: "We would like you to submit a photograph which captures the spirit of volunteering featuring either individuals or groups of people, the local community or the environment."
Entries will be judged by members of Thornbury Camera Club and will be displayed at a volunteer fair in St Mary Shopping Centre on Thursday, June 19 (9am-1pm). The closing date is June 6.
